Shakespeare Soup
Shakespeare in Detroit has joined forces with Detroit SOUP and pianist Ivan Moshchuk for a one-night only event, Shakespeare SOUP. This event is the kickoff of Shakespeare in Detroit’s Midnight Matinee series, as well as part of a new performing arts initiative, The Detroit Sessions.
The event format is in the same vein as the template for Detroit SOUP. Patrons come to the presentation, and for a donation of $10, enjoy soup, salad and bread. Event proceeds benefit Shakespeare in Detroit, who will present one of Shakespeare’s comedies set to music by pianist Ivan Moshchuk and directed by Adam Miller-Batteau. The performance will be done in the spirit of Original Practice Shakespeare.
